We began our  journey together when we were married in Austin, Texas in February of 1984.  In the fall of 1985, we moved to Houston to attend Texas Bible College, and begin to fulfill the call of the ministry in our lives.  The Lord Jesus Christ would have many plans for us, but the route to get there would be through trials, hardships, and struggles.  As Pastor, I often remind the church that I started Bible School with 100 questions that I needed answered to help me to understand the scriptures better, and left Bible School with 1,000!  The wisdom and traditions of men, and the philosophies of religion, attached to the rudiments of this world are no match for the wisdom of GOD!  The leading of the Lord Jesus brought us from a background of religiosity that we both grew up in, and carried us into a wilderness of solitude and learning, away from every influence so that JESUS could be our teacher.  In personal study time, we both began to see things in the scriptures that had either been overlooked in our youth, or because of a lack of knowledge and a fear of approaching some subjects, were now opened to our understanding.  We  began ministry in various churches, and in various functions, from youth leader to assistant pastor.  In many churches in different locations, the Lord Jesus was teaching me in some places what “not to do” and in other places was showing me what “to do”.  In all of these experiences, I learned to follow the Lord Jesus and let the WORD OF GOD be true, and every man a liar!

Along with a spiritual education the Lord also developed us on the natural side, blessing my wife and I  with 7 wonderful children, and at this writing, 16 grandchildren!  In the 39 years of marriage and work, I learned how to deal with circumstances and situations of life.  Through work experiences, I recognized the needs of people to have a focus and direction in life, and at the core, a relationship with Jesus Christ!

In 2013, the Lord began to push in my life, letting me know without a doubt, that the time had come to stretch into my calling.  It was time to start a church!  One that would be based on the Scriptures, especially focusing on the Acts of the Apostles.  It was in the book of ACTS of the Apostles that the church was birthed and its doctrinal foundations set.  Any group that claims to be a part of the Body of Christ must acknowledge the doctrines of Christ.  Christ Gospel Fellowship Full Gospel Church was born. The first service was held on July 7, 2013 and our total starting number of members was 7.  Since then, the Lord has blessed and added daily to the church such as should be saved, and we continue to grow and be blessed!

In January of 2015 I was approached by another church, which over the years had dwindled to a number of 3, and was asked if our ministry would take over the church and property.   It was all in great disrepair and in need of care, but I saw the hand of the Lord, and we agreed.  In the short time we have been blessed with our new location, the church is continuing to be remodeled and refurbished to meet our growing needs.  GOD IS SO GOOD!

Our church and  ministry was part of a larger Full Gospel group, but as time transpired, I could see that the Lord was calling me to an even deeper walk of an end time church pastor.  Burdened by the vision of the modern church world which has lost its way, catering to the whims of the world and striving more to be relevant to the times in which we live than to be pleasing to the Lord,  I felt the call to pull out of that group and start a smaller association of like minded pastors and churches.  Our goal is  to bind together in fellowship and unity for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.  The Gospel needs no addition of the wisdom of men!  The Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ is and always will be sufficient for salvation.  If any preach another gospel, let him be accursed! As the church becomes relevant with the world, it has lost its relationship with the LORD JESUS CHRIST.   Jesus was the one who warned us, that as the world hated him, and despised him, that it would likewise despise and hate us….IF we are truly following HIM!

Thus began SearchForBibleTruth.org.  An organization with the educational resources with which to pull together like minded pastors and churches to fulfill the call of the church in the last days.  A group of believers who take the Word of God at face value, believing it to be the inerrant WORD FROM GOD!  Our statements of belief can be found on our “What we Believe” page.

Not only is this to be a place of fellowship and unity of Bible Truth Seekers, but is the educational resource of our new organization of churches and pastors.  We are not a state or government mandated organization, but part of the body of Jesus Christ!  We need no other approval or accreditation than that of Jesus, our Lord and Savior and the head over all things concerning his church.

This educational resource of our organization will hold online Bible Institute Courses for those wishing to pursue ministerial licensing or ordination within Search For Bible Truth, pursuant to the guidelines set forth in its bylaws.  Also available will be periodic posts to those interested in joining our online forum, educational study materials available for purchase to cover the cost of the website, and administrative costs associated with our educational department.
