How many times have we read the newspaper or seen an email come across our screen with an ad for that “dream” job. The one with all the great benefits, perks, and even the bonus and 401k options. And bankers hours to boot!!
Well, The Lord Jesus Christ has posted an ad for the entire world to read…..Its called the HOLY BIBLE and all are welcome to apply…..If it were to be put in a condensed version…this is what it might say:
WANTED: I am looking for those who have never been successful at anything, have been utter and abject failures, and have given up on life and all the dreams they have ever had…this application process is for you…none will be turned away…I am anxiously awaiting your response.
I am also looking for those who have been successful in life and has made much wealth, but if asked would be willing to give it all away to work for me….and persons who have become famous and attractive, but would be willing to be a stranger and a commoner to work in my employ…this application process is for you as well…none will be turned away…I am anxiously awaiting your response.
THINGS to expect on this job: you will be despised by the world, you will be rejected by others who do not want this opportunity. You will suffer many things for my NAME sake…your life will be full and joyful, if you follow my plan created for your success, but you will also suffer hardships and trials to perfect your job performance. You will go through phases of abundance, which are temporary bonuses from time to time…however, you will face shortfalls and the humility of need in your life to cause you to see the strength of unity that I have in my company and to build a bond of love among your co-workers, also in my employ. You will be required to love everyone…as I LOVE YOU….you will be representing ME and MY company, and if you do not show LOVE to others, (especially those of this company) it will be a reproach to ME….you will be continually tested to see if you are willing to stay loyal to MY goals and not be swayed into the competitors employment. MY company is not like his..you will work hard but you will be eternally rewarded. He promises great pleasures which only last a short season and you will be eternally bankrupt and totally burned up…..he is known for using up those in his employ and in the end does not and cannot help them out of the pit they will have dug for themselves….
Others who have worked on this job for me have had these experiences…some were tortured, others had trials of cruel mockings and scourgings, some in bonds and some in prison. Some have been stoned. Some were sawn asunder, some were tempted, some were killed…some wandered about in animal skins, being destitute, afflicted and tormented…but these will receive ETERNAL compensation and be greatly rewarded for their efforts for ME.
Here are some of the side benefits of this position: some have been healed, some have had their dead raised to life again, some subdued kingdoms, all wrought righteousness and obtained promises, while some even stopped the mouths of lions, quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, though weak were made strong, waxed valiant in fights, and turned to flight the armies of the enemy!!!
Your compensation will be as follows: When this temporary troubled life is over, even though you have cashed in on many of MY side benefits, the GREAT reward of your service is yet to come….ETERNAL LIFE. No more fear, no more sorrow, no more tears and no more pain…no death or separation…no more growing old or feeble..you will be eternally strong and young…you will have a wonderful place to live in my beautiful city which I have built just for you…it will be such a wonderful time…such a place cannot be completely described..you will have to experience it to understand…And I will be with you FOREVER…
You will have made it to upper management where you will help me rule and reign over all of the new earth and the new heavens…

[3] Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.
[4] By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh.
[5] By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.

[38] (Of whom the world was not worthy:) they wandered in deserts, and in mountains, and in dens and caves of the earth.
[39] And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise:
[40] God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect.
