Foursquare Truth of Time

A great author once said, “God lends us time in order for us to receive his instruction and perform his Service.  If we consider time, how precious it is, its speedy passing, its uncertainty, how irrevocable that it is once it has passed, we would be very diligent in the proper use of our time.  Moments have wings and they fly upward to their creator, bearing witness to our wise use of it, or to our foolish abuse of it.  If we will be wise according to the scriptures, we will not allow moments to fly away empty or burdened down with corruption, but we will take those moments and as much as possible fill them with the wisdom, understanding, knowledge and prudence from GODS holy word, so that when the moment arrives when our time is no more, we will step into eternity prepared to meet our Savior and Lord.  If we are foolish, we will sadly wish our moments away because things are not the way we wish they would be, or we will consume our moments fulfilling the lust and desires of the flesh.”

THE FOURSQUARE CORNERS OF TIME ARE THIS……

1.SOLITARY TIME…… A TIME OF HEARING…..

2. SEEING TIME…. A TIME OF UNDERSTANDING

3. SPEAKING TIME…. A TIME TO COMMUNICATE WHAT WE HAVE HEARD AND  UNDERSTOOD

4. SHARING TIME….A TIME OF DOING AND PRACTICING WHAT WE HAVE HEARD, SEEN , AND SPOKEN…

Many times we get out of God’s wheel of time, and enter into the “wheel” of our flesh….and we end up doing the wrong thing at the wrong time, or we miss the right time to do the right things!  We must first find the time to remove all the voices in our life and stop to hear ONLY the voice of GOD.  It is so important that we hear from HIM!  If we do not consistently hear from GOD, we will not know HIM and we cannot follow HIM, and may find ourselves following the wrong voice, and the wrong shepherd.  In the solitary time, we can hear the voice of the Great Shepherd and Bishop of our souls, Jesus Christ the Savior.

  • We must hear from God
  • John 10:27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
  • We must understand what we are hearing
  • Eph. 5:17 Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is
  • We must speak what we have heard and understood.
  • Eph. 4:15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ.
  •  We must share what we have heard and understood and spoken
  • I John 1:3 That which we have SEEN and HEARD declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.

You and I today are at one point of time or another. If you are in a place of solitude, you may feel like you have no friend or anyone who really understands what you are going through. What a precious time you have been given!  It is in that place of solitude and aloneness that you can find JESUS to be the sweetest friend you will ever have, the one who “sticks closer than a brother”.  After all, it is not in the monstrous cathedrals, and the limelight of the world that you will find JESUS, but you will find him standing somewhere in the shadows, seeking out the forgotten and the weary, the broken hearted and hurt, and you will know HIM by the nail scars in his hands.  Be thankful for the precious times of solitude that GOD sends your way…it is a chance to hear from HIM.

If you have been through that time of solitude recently, and if you have allowed HIM to speak with you, and to share your sorrows and pain, then you have heard from HIM! Now that you have a better revelation and understanding of who HE is, you must speak about the wonderful things HE has done in your life. The valleys only HE could have brought you through, with only the peace that HE could bring, and only the love that HE could love you with!

You can now share and fellowship with those who are hurting, as you see them open their hearts and life to the ONLY ONE who can satisfy their souls and fill the needs in their life. It is also in these times, where we choose to put into practice what we have heard, understood, and spoken to others to do. Here is where the rubber meets the road!

Ecc: 3 :10. I have seen the travail, which God hath given to the sons of men to be exercised in it. 11. He hath made everything beautiful in his time:

Oh the beautiful wheel of GODS time….he knows what is best for us, so wherever you find yourself in HIS corners of time, make the most of it. You will not forever be in solitude, or in revelations, or in speaking, or in sharing.  He will take you back around again, with higher heights and deeper depths of understanding of who HE is and how much YOU mean to HIM.

THIS POEM BY BENJAMIN MAYS SUMS IT UP NICELY:

I have only just a minute, Only sixty seconds in it.

Forced upon me, can’t refuse it. Didn’t seek it, didn’t choose it.

But it’s up to me to use it.

I must suffer if I lose it. Give account if I abuse it.

Just a tiny little minute, but eternity is in it.

Know that GOD loves you and desires a close relationship with YOU!

Be blessed in HIM and read HIS word today, finding the treasures of great price within!
